PUNCAK - The Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, one of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) in Papua, is currently carrying out mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Puncak Regency area, Papua Tengah Province. On Monday, 15 July 2024, the 323 Task Forces, especially the Wuloni Post led by Captain Honest, held a territorial activity entitled "Papua Terang (Bright Papua)". This program is an implementation of installing lighting in residential areas and on public roads in the Wuloni Village, Ilaga District.
In his emphasis on the Soldiers, the Commander of the 323 Task Force, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, conveyed the importance of the Task Forces' attention to the basic needs of the community around the Post. For this reason, the Wuloni Post has been observing developments in its area since its duties began. Lighting public areas, especially roads and yards where residents live, has been one of the basic needs for the Wuloni community to facilitate activities at night. Based on this attention, that Monday morning, Captain Honest led his Soldiers to conduct the installation of public lighting facilities. Several days earlier, Captain Honest had discussed with the Wuloni Village Leaders and Community Figures regarding the location and need for the lighting installation.

When installing the lighting, while still prioritizing security aspects, the Soldiers received help and support from the residents. Through that participation, the lighting installation process can run smoothly and faster than planning predictions. Finally, on Monday afternoon, the process of installing and testing public lighting resulted in adequate lighting facilities for the Wuloni residents. Welcoming the public lighting installation that had been waited for so long, the Head of the Wuloni Tribe, Mr. Yatinus Wonda (49 years), represented the residents’ gratitude by saying "Praise God, thank you TNI 323 Task Forces, this is very extraordinary. We are very happy now that our Honais and Roads are no longer dark. God has rewarded the kindness of TNI Soldiers. Kaonak, Amolongo, Wa, Wa, Wa."
"The initiative of the 323 Task Forces to hold the Bright Papua in the Wuloni Village, is an effort by the TNI to provide basic necessities services, especially public lighting facilities, to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region, " said the KOOPS TNI Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
